Lil Omm Yoga Studio Moves to Tenleytown

Larger space will offer wide range of classes for all ages

Lil Omm, Washington DC’s first family-centered yoga studio is happy to announce that they have opened the doors of their new space in Tenleytown in Upper Northwest, DC. Just blocks from the Tenley metro station, the 1400-sq. ft. space will continue to feature specialty classes geared towards parents and children. Class offerings include prenatal and postnatal yoga, barre fusion fitness classes, movers and preschoolers yoga and Itsy Bitsy Yoga^®, designed for parents and babies kids, teens, and varying levels of adult yoga with childcare.

“We are so excited to welcome lil omm families old and new into the new space,” says founder, Pleasance Silicki. “This space is the perfect place to continue lil omm’s mission to create a community dedicated to engaged, inspired and connected families. I want lil omm to continue to be a sanctuary for families where they can connect with one another and bond with their children, while doing something great for themselves.”

 Silicki initially founded lil omm in 2008 in Georgetown while pregnant with her daughter and was unable to find a community committed to mindful, positive parenting and healthy living. The first studio was located in the Palisades until its closing late last spring.

 Lil omm will be open seven days a week, and all drop-in classes will be $20.00. This cost includes mats, water, and snacks, plus an additional fee for childcare. An open house will be held on November 12 and will consist of a full day of free demo classes and giveaways. Additionally, lil omm will be offering special introductory membership packages for unlimited monthly classes for high school, college students and staff, adults and families, through 2011. The new space will not only hold a variety of classes and workshops, but will also feature studio rental for birthday parties and special events. Lil omm also offers satellite classes at Saffron Yoga located at 3629 Wilson Blvd. in Clarendon, Va.
