What better way to hedge your holiday caloric intake than with a pre-holiday 5k, Walk, or Family Fun Run? Leading up to turkey day there are a number of local Turkey Trots, Walks, and Family Fun Runs that provide a great opportunity to flex your muscles before the winter weather and the munchies set in.  With dozens of local charities benefiting from the events, its also a great way to teach your children about fitness and helping others!

For the fourth time, the European Union Member States will transform cultural venues around the District into a European adventure for children and their families.  The popular month long Kids Euro Festival is one of the largest performing arts festivals for children ages 2-12 in the country. From October 14 - November 10, more than 200 free events for children will showcase the wonders of Europe through performances by talented European puppeteers, dancers, magicians, musicians, and storytellers, and more.
